Tracking a hot and humid Saturday before an overnight cold front

Tonight: Skies look to remain partly cloudy tonight as winds out of the southeast pull through at 8-12 mph. Overnight lows creep to the lower 70's.

Tomorrow: : Scattered chances of showers and storms pull through Mid-Missouri for Saturday as highs soar into the mid to upper 90's with the heat index surpassing 100 degrees. The chance for a few stronger storms increases during the late afternoon hours with strong winds being the main threat.

Extended: Saturday night into Sunday morning, showers and storms develop along an incoming cold front leading to more widespread chances of rainfall. Temperatures will dramatically cool to the lower 80's for the afternoon highs throughout the first half of the week before slowly heating up to the lower 90's by the late part of the week.
