Tracking a dry start to the weekend, steady rain chances next week

TODAY: Building clouds throughout the day with highs reaching the low 80s. Scattered rain moves in near dinnertime and lasts through the night.

TOMORROW: Isolated sprinkle possible in the morning before clearing briefly. Highs near 80. Another round of storms will be possible after sundown.

EXTENDED: A stalled frontal boundary to our north will bring a low-end chance for showers late Saturday, though forecast models have consistently decreased our precipitation chances recently. As low pressure forms to our west and finally forces the front to push into Mid-MO, another round of more robust storms will move in Sunday night. Severe potential is low with this setup and storms will last through much of Monday morning. As the front settles across southern Missouri, we may face more early workweek rain chances.
