Tracking clouds exiting, sunshine returning for Friday

TONIGHT: Cloudy and cold with rain exiting after sunset. Lows in the mid-30s.

TOMORROW: Decreasing clouds and breezy with highs in the upper 50s.

EXTENDED: Low pressure is now centered over central Ontario, but the wide-reaching swath of clouds is here to stay through tomorrow morning. Spotty showers should begin to taper off  tonight, but we still drop into the mid-30s overnight. Clouds gradually clear tomorrow, leaving us with more sunshine and highs in the upper 50s. A weak system slides  through tomorrow, bringing us near freezing by Saturday morning, but we remain dry. Highs on Saturday and Sunday will make the lower 50s with sunshine. Next week starts off warmer as the upper pattern begins to shift, and afternoon temperatures reach the mid-60s. Strong south winds pull in highs in the 70s on Tuesday as another strong low pressure works its way in from the west. Showers and storms are possible Tuesday night, with off and on rain possible through Thursday. Temperatures drop back off to about 50 by Thursday as this system exits east. Right now the best chance for thunderstorms is Tuesday, and the risk for severe weather is low at this time. Rain amounts will reach around an inch total between Tuesday and the end of the week.
