Tracking scattered rain and snow showers into Thursday morning

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with patchy fog developing late. Scattered rain and snow showers through tomorrow morning. Little impacts expected. Lows in the low to mid-30s.

TOMORROW: Mostly cloudy with scattered rain and snow showers early, with spotty rain showers expected in the afternoon. Highs in the lower 40s.

EXTENDED:  Light cold rain continues off and on tonight, with a few snow showers possible into the morning as temperatures drop into the low to mid-30s. There will be a brief window of wintry precipitation up until late morning before temperatures rise back into the upper 30s. Wintry impacts aren't expected as road temperatures have remained well above freezing, but there could be some grassy accumulation, especially in our western/northwestern counties. We'll also deal with patchy to moderate fog with moisture lingering around along with cool temperatures. By late afternoon we'll get into the lower 40s, but overall it looks like today with clouds holding and a few showers through the afternoon. Low pressure finally works east on Friday, leaving us with more sunshine and highs in the upper 50s. The weekend looks pleasant and dry with temperatures in the mid-50s both days. Another low pressure system will work in by Tuesday of next week, bringing a chance for rain and a few thunderstorms off and on through Thursday. Right now signals for severe weather appear low as we'll be lacking sufficient instability and wind shear. We'll be warmer though, with highs in the 60s and 70s Monday through Wednesday. Rain amounts between now and mid-next week will be around 0.5" or so.
