Tracking a few showers tonight, continued warmth this week

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with a chance of spotty showers overnight. Lows in the upper 40s.

TOMORROW: Gradually decreasing clouds. Highs in the lower 60s.

EXTENDED: A low pressure system to our south could trigger a few spot showers tonight, but we're not expecting much coverage with that as it slides through. We'll hang onto some cloud cover through the morning, becoming partly cloudy during the day. Highs tomorrow will be similar in the 60s, but we get even warmer on Wednesday and Thursday as winds pick up from the southwest. Highs get up to about 70, with cloud cover moving back in Thursday ahead of another strong low pressure system that slides across the region. That will bring a chance for showers Thursday night into Friday, with perhaps a few rumbles of thunder. At this point I'm not expecting severe weather, but temperatures will be borderline on Friday morning with temperatures near freezing. My gut tells me we'll be too warm for much mixing of precipitation, but we'll be cooler on Friday with highs in the lower 50s. Once that system slides east, we're mild and dry for the weekend. Highs get into the 60s Saturday and near 70 on Sunday.
