Tracking overnight storms with cooler weekdays ahead

Tonight: Storms begin to move in from Northwestern Missouri throughout the overnight hours. Chances of strong to severe storms are possible with the main threat being winds exceeding 60 mph. Storms will lose strength and die out as the night continues eventually pushing to the southeast by midnight. The overnight low falls to near 40 degrees.

Tomorrow: The day will begin partly cloudy and dry before afternoon showers begin to become more widespread throughout Central Missouri. There is a possibility of a few weak storms embedded but no severe risks at the moment. The high tops out into the mid-'50s.

Extended: Showers will eventually switch to light snow Monday morning before sunrise leading to a possible dusting before pushing to the east by mid-morning. Temperatures will ride near the early March average throughout the week before falling dramatically by next weekend.
