Tracking a bitter cold to end the week

FRIDAY

Sunshine is returning but can only help so much after a brutally cold start. Temperatures will make it into the mid to upper 20’s this afternoon. A slight breeze will keep things feeling cool.

TONIGHT

Mostly clear skies and lingering snowpack will weigh temperatures down again tonight. Lows will fall to near zero by daybreak.

EXTENDED

We do a little better job warming up Saturday, topping out in the middle 30’s. Highs will step up into the upper 30’s Sunday before a cold front slides through. This one will only bring brief cloud cover Sunday night and slightly cooler weather for Monday, knocking temperatures back into the lower 30’s. We rebound nicely Tuesday, jumping back into the middle 40’s, where we stay through Thursday.
