Tracking another round of heavy snow tonight

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with another round of snow showers moving in after sunset. An additional 2-8" of snowfall is possible, with the higher amounts located south of I-70. Lows in the low teens with wind chills about -5.

TOMORROW: Snow continues early, tapering off through mid-late afternoon. Highs in the upper teens to around 20. Wind chills in the single digits.

EXTENDED: After a lull in snow this afternoon, another round of steady snowfall will move in from the west this evening, bringing heavy snow showers to Mid-Missouri through Thursday morning. The bulk of the snow will exit east by midday, but a few flurries will be possible through early evening. Temperatures will struggle to get to 20 degrees during the day with wind chills in the low single digits. Friday morning starts out near zero with lows in the single digits, along with wind chills about -5. We'll see more sunshine, but highs remain in the mid-upper 20s. The weekend is a bit warmer, but will feature another frigid start on Saturday with morning temperatures in the single digits. We reach the mid-upper 30s on both Saturday and Sunday, helping to loosen some compacted snow on the roads. Next week starts off chilly on Monday, but we look to remain dry through at least Wednesday as highs climb back into the 40s.
