Tracking a more mild temperature roller coaster the rest of the week

TONIGHT

Temperatures will only top out in the low to mid 20’s this afternoon despite mostly sunny skies overhead. Wind chill values with a consistent breeze will top out in the teens. Tonight, temperatures will drop well into the single digits as arctic high pressure slides overhead. Some added clouds from Tuesday will start to clear, which will only help cool us further overnight. Wind chill values drop below zero by sunrise.

WEDNESDAY

Starting out bitterly cold, temperatures rebound nicely. A 20 to 30 degree warm up comes on Wednesday as winds turn more southerly under abundant sunshine. Still, temperatures are stuck near or below freezing in the afternoon.

EXTENDED

The roller coaster continues into the weekend. We’re nearing 40 on Thursday before another front moves through. A few sprinkles or flurries will be possible with it, but won’t amount to much. Temperatures will drop back to near 30 on Friday before bouncing back for the weekend. Highs will return into the 40’s Saturday and Sunday as we stay dry.
