Tracking temperature swings to kick off the workweek

This morning: Temperatures start off in the upper-30s early but the first of many clipper systems this week will move in midmorning. It will drag a cold front through the area that steadily cools us off the rest of the day.

This afternoon: Temperatures in the 20s before another system arrives this evening. This will slide by to the north and warm us back to near freezing overnight.

Monday: Milder to start and highs reach near 50 early in the afternoon. Our next clipper arrives late in the day to push temperatures down to the 30s by dinnertime.

Extended: Multiple rounds of cooler, northern clipper systems start to funnel in causing various changes in this week's temperatures. Mid-Missouri looks to remain dry as these systems bypass the area. Bitter cold moves in midweek with Tuesday morning lows in the teens with single-digit wind chills. Highs are stuck in the 20s Tuesday and Wednesday with another bitter cold start on Wednesday morning. We finally approach average highs again by the end of the week.
