Tracking quiet conditions this week

Sunday: Early morning temperatures will be in the teens, leading to possible refreezing and isolated slick spots on roadways. Wind chills start out in the single digits to below-zero, and Mid-MO will feel like the 20s throughout the afternoon.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day: Northerly winds keep temperatures subdued even with continued sunshine. Highs in the mid to upper 30s.

Extended: We continue to slowly warm into Tuesday as highs peak in the low 50s. A midweek disturbance will then rush through the area, and while things stay dry, frigid cold returns with single-digit lows on Wednesday and Thursday night. Highs may be stuck below freezing heading into next weekend.
