Tracking one last quiet day before winter makes a return this weekend

MILD AGAIN
KMIZ

THURSDAY

A stray sprinkle will be possible east of HWY 63 this morning but most of us will stay dry. Highs today will reach the lower 50’s again as sunshine returns this afternoon.

TONIGHT

Clouds will be on the increase late tonight as lows fall to about 30. We’ll stay dry but it will feel like the 20’s waking up.

EXTENDED

Clouds are here to stay on Friday as our next system inches closer. A few showers will be possible during the afternoon and evening before eventually transitioning to all snow closer to midnight. Once the snow starts falling, it’s here to stay into Saturday afternoon. Widespread accumulations are expected by the time the snow moves south Saturday evening. For the latest details on what to expect, head over to the Insider Blog. Sunday’s staying cool with highs around freezing but sunshine returning. We’ll jump into the upper 30’s Monday and into the upper 40’s Tuesday. A front looks to move through the Midwest by the middle of next week, dropping us back into the 30’s but coming without precipitation.
