Tracking a well-deserved warmup

mild & breezy
KMIZ

TUESDAY

We’re off to a chilly start again but we’ll start to warm things up going forward. Winds will pick up, gusting to 30 mph at times today, and plenty of sunshine will push temperatures into the low 50’s.

TONIGHT

We pick up a few clouds overnight, with the breeze sticking around. Temperatures won’t be quite as cool as this morning, falling to about the freezing mark.

EXTENDED

The wind won’t be quite as big of a factor tomorrow. Temperatures still look to make it into the low 50’s. That streak will be in question as a weak front moves through Thursday morning. While it doesn’t look to have enough moisture to bring rain, it could bring just enough cooler air to keep us in the 40’s. We’ll hang onto the 40’s and add in even more cloud cover Friday. We’re dry during the day but tracking a chance for rain changing over to snow Friday night into Saturday. While there’s still a few details to solidify, some accumulating snow appears to be possible, especially east of HWY 63 by Saturday morning. Saturday itself will dry out during the afternoon as highs are stuck in the middle 30’s. We’ll warm up to finish off the weekend, into the low 40’s Sunday.
