Tracking an icy start to the weekend

SATURDAY: Light freezing drizzle is possible in the morning. For the most details on potential impacts, head to our Insider Blog. Temperatures will start out in the 20s and teens today, allowing for wintry precip early in the day. A warmup is still on the way that will put highs near 40 by the afternoon. As more areas break above freezing, showers will be expected into the evening. A decent breeze will mitigate impacts on roads, but watch for slick spots throughout the day.

SUNDAY: Drying out to end the weekend. Highs fall back to the mid-30s under partly cloudy skies.

EXTENDED: As this system pulls out, a few flurries will be possible Sunday morning, but again nothing impactful. The start of the workweek is chilly in the mid-30s on Monday, but fairly quiet conditions will usher in another warmup. Highs return to the low 50s midweek before more disturbances head our way late week.
