Tracking more sub-zero wind chills this morning

FRIDAY: We’re starting off cold but we’ll start to turn the tide of this latest Arctic outbreak. Temperatures will only make it into the middle 20’s this afternoon but winds will start to shift out of the south. Partly cloudy skies will at least help spirits heading into the weekend.

TONIGHT: Those winds will pick up out of the south overnight. That will help keep temperatures afloat near 20 for overnight lows.

EXTENDED: We’ll warm up decently on Saturday, reaching into the 40’s once again. Rain chances will push in during the morning, with some freezing drizzle possible where temperatures haven’t quite reached the freezing mark yet. As light as it’s expected to be and a decent wind keeping it off roads, no impacts are expected where we do see this scenario unfold. We’ll eventually transition to just cold showers as temperatures continue to climb. The rain will be with us into the evening before departing overnight. As this system pulls out, a few flurries will be possible Sunday morning, but again nothing impactful. Temperatures will back off into the 30’s for highs on Sunday. They’ll stay in the 30’s to start the week before hopping back into the upper 40’s to low 50’s for the rest of it.
