Tracking frigid temperatures and possible snow tonight

WEDNESDAY: Highs in the low 20s. Gusty winds up to 30 mph will keep wind chills in the teens and single digits.

TONIGHT: Snow will move in this evening and favor areas along and south of I-70. Lows tonight will fall into the low teens. Wind chills plummet to near zero. For more details on the snow and bitter cold, head over to the Insider Blog.

EXTENDED: Snow will continue through the first part of Thursday, so the morning commute could be slippery. Highs will only top out in the teens tomorrow, so slick spots will be possible even into the afternoon and evening hours. Lows will fall into the single digits by Friday morning but manage to recover into the 20’s by the afternoon. We jump back into the 40’s Saturday with our next storm system moving in by the evening. This one looks to be warm enough to only be concerned with rain right now and should be out by the coldest part of the night. We’re cooler on Sunday and Monday with highs in the 30’s before starting to warm up a touch for the rest of next week.
