Tracking some much-needed rain tonight

RAIN RETURN
KMIZ

TODAY: Clouds have pushed out for a brief window but will return by this afternoon. Temperatures will hold steady in the upper 40’s and low 50’s for much of the day.

TONIGHT: Rain chances ramp up overnight and are widespread by the morning. Overnight lows will dip into the upper 30’s.

EXTENDED: The rain stays with us until Tuesday afternoon. From there, we’ll try to warm up into the upper 50’s and low 60’s after the rain departs. Cold air rushes in behind this system and we’ll drop into the 20’s Tuesday night and be held in the upper 30’s to low 40’s Wednesday. We stay dry through Thursday and most of Friday. Highs will recover into the upper 40’s Thursday and break into the 50’s Friday. Our next storm system rolls through late Friday night into Saturday, bringing back some rain chances with an outside chance we might see some snow. Details are hard to trust right now, but be sure to check back with the forecast throughout the week. There’s plenty of cold air on the other side of this system, with highs by Sunday likely staying below freezing.
