Tracking southerly flow that brings warmth and rain chances leading up to Thanksgiving

TONIGHT: Tonight, our south breeze stays with us, keeping us warm. Temperatures drop into the low 40's by early Wednesday morning. High clouds will also move in late tonight, and thicken into early Wednesday.

TOMORROW: Wednesday will start dry, but cloudy. Southerly flow brings temperatures up into the 60's by the afternoon. As some of the mid level moisture begins to fill in ahead of Wednesday night's cold front, sprinkles will be possible but not likely during the morning hours. The chance for rain will start to tick up leading into the evening hours. Rain chances exist area wide, but the best chances for rain lies south of I-70. Overall, expect 0.5", or less, of rain overnight into early Thursday.

EXTENDED: Showers will be off and on until sunrise on Thanksgiving, before clearing the area. Behind that system, things will stay cool with highs only making it to 40° Thursday. Grab the heavy coat if you plan on doing any shopping Black Friday with temperatures falling back into the middle 20’s overnight. We recover during the afternoon-similar to today-with highs nearing 50° with that warming trend holding on Saturday. We make it into the mid to upper 50’s before taking a hit on Sunday, brushing us back closer to 50°.
