Tracking a foggy start this morning

slower commute
KMIZ

THURSDAY: The fog will lift by 9-10 AM with sunshine attempting to make a return by this afternoon. A few showers will be possible this afternoon, especially east of HWY 63. Highs will top out in the middle 70’s.

TONIGHT: Any showers should clear out quickly after sunset, leaving partly cloudy skies overhead. Lows will fall all the way into the upper 50’s. Dense fog could become an issue again by sunrise.

EXTENDED: We’ll finally kick the rain chances on Friday, but welcome back some warmer weather. Highs will warm into the middle 80’s tomorrow, and the upper 80’s this weekend. We’ll at least benefit from a pair of breezy days Saturday and Sunday, with gusts up around 25-30 mph. Our next storm system will move in overnight Sunday into Monday morning. Showers and storms will kick off our work week on a soggy note for many. That will help cool us back down into the upper 70’s to low 80’s for the first half of next week. Another powerful storm system looks to slide in Tuesday night into Wednesday, bringing another round of storms.
