Tracking a wet close to the weekend

Today: Showers to start, ending by mid-morning. Fog is possible early, especially in areas that received abundant rain overnight. Highs reach the upper 70s with gradually clearing skies. Some lingering isolated rain will be possible through the afternoon.

Tomorrow: Cloud cover clears out and highs will dip to the mid-70s. Expect a cool fall start to the workweek.

Extended: May want a light jacket for a few mornings with overnight lows in the 50s midweek. Tuesday will see a return of a few clouds along with a chance for showers as low pressure stalls to our south. There'll be plenty of dry time between rain, but that chance for rain will stay with us through Thursday. Towards the weekend, the low pressure moves out and opens Mid-MO up to warming temperatures. Highs are expected to rise above seasonal averages back to the low 80s.
