Tracking a soggy gameday

Today: Showers early before a brief break in the morning. Mizzou kickoff looks soggy with temperatures reaching close to 70 before noon. Another round of storms kicks up by the afternoon and evening with highs in the upper 70s. The most widespread rain will move through near dinnertime and coverage diminishes overnight.

Tomorrow: Lingering rain in the morning before drier conditions during the day. Highs a few degrees cooler near the mid-70s.

Extended: Low pressure will pass central Missouri over the weekend and dip south, carrying showers with it. Drier conditions are expected to start the workweek as a cooldown continues and highs fall to the mid-70s. The low pressure may stall near the Gulf states by midweek and send a few more chances for showers our way. This won't prevent another warmup though with highs expected to rise above seasonal averages next weekend.
