Tracking a hot end to the weekend, cooling down this week

TODAY: Highs top out in the upper 80s with a chance for a pop up shower or two. Humidity sticks around and the heat index will float in the low 90s.

TOMORROW: Another summery day in the upper 80s. Breezes pick up in the afternoon as a cold front approaches and watch for light showers. Storms begin moving in late evening and continue overnight bringing heavy downpours.

EXTENED: The cold front will move fast, and this should prevent severe conditions from materializing. Flooding may still be an issue as heavy rain is likely. Most showers move out by the morning on Tuesday and we'll be waking up to much different conditions behind it. Highs drop to the mid-70s and you may want a jacket for a few mornings with midweek lows close to the 40s! Wednesday kicks off the first official day of fall and pleasant conditions will stick around the rest of the week.
