Tracking more cool and dry weather through the week ahead

TODAY: Tuesday is the coolest day this week, with temperatures expected in the 60s and 70s at the warmest this afternoon. This is largely thanks to clouds and spotty drizzle and light showers that all work to keep us cool. Precipitation chances are low, but skies are overcast through the morning. Some breaks in the clouds will make for a brighter afternoon for some.

TONIGHT: Temperatures may cool well into the 50s as temperatures are low going into the evening, before skies clear overnight. Clearing skies and calm winds will make for an efficient cooldown, leaving us in the 50s to start the day on Wednesday.

EXTENDED: Wednesday's high will likely be slightly warmer despite the cool start, thanks to sunshine returning to the forecast. Easterly winds keep us mild, with highs forecast in the mid-to-upper 70s through Saturday. Dry weather is expected until an approaching surface trough brings slight rain chances to our western doorstep by Friday night. Low chances for rain are forecast over the weekend, along with a slight bump in temperatures. Highs may return to the 80s Sunday and Monday.
