Tracking a steamy weekend and spot showers

TODAY: Nice start in the morning in the mid-60s. Highs reach the upper 80s with the heat index brushing the low 90s.

TOMORROW: Summer-like conditions continue as we reach the upper 80s again. A disturbance will roll through on Sunday and could bring scattered showers and storms in the afternoon. Most activity will be to the south and won't last long after sunset.

EXTENDED: Heat holds through Monday before a cold front moves in overnight. That will bring another round of showers and storms that lasts through Tuesday morning. Fall officially begins on Wednesday and the cold front brings perfect conditions to the area. Highs drop to the mid-70s midweek and drier conditions are expected the rest of the week.
