Tracking hurricane Ida along with overnight storms in Central Missouri

Tonight: Hurricane Ida made landfall earlier today as a category 4 hurricane. This hurricane continues to travel northeast slowly with a dangerous storm surge expected to subside later tonight. Central Missouri will see scattered showers and storms tonight with an approaching low-pressure system. The overnight low will bottom out at 72 degrees. The main threat for tonight's storms will be brief downpours.

Tomorrow: We will see more widespread showers and storms as the low-pressure system deepens overhead. We will not see a washout, but some areas can see up to 0.5" of rain. The high tomorrow will sit at 88 degrees.

Extended: Chances of showers and storms will die out as we near Tuesday afternoon with an approaching high-pressure system making its way in from the upper Midwest. Temperatures will be near the mid-'80s and begin to climb as we head toward the weekend with mostly clear skies.
