Tracking light at the end of a rainy tunnel

WEDNESDAY: More showers and storms throughout the day. More of us will get in on the action this afternoon but you’ll want the umbrella for either commute. Highs will only top out in the low 80’s with cloud cover and rain chances around.

TONIGHT: Showers and storms could start to add up as we get into the overnight hours with more falling. A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for a good portion of the viewing area, with another 1-2” expected. Flooding at night becomes a bit more dangerous-turn around, don’t drown.

EXTENDED: Rain will continue through Thursday afternoon before starting to filter out. We’ll finally get a chance to get the swollen creeks and streams back to normal this weekend. Some gorgeous weather will try to make up for the past week-plus with highs in the low 80’s and no humidity Friday and Saturday. Sunday will warm up a touch for Independence Day, but more than tolerable in the middle 80’s. We graduate to the upper 80’s Monday with a slight chance of showers returning by Tuesday.
