Tracking Mid-Week Rain and Warming Temperatures

Today: This afternoon scattered showers begin to push in from the east. With the combination of the light southeasterly breeze and cloudy skies, we will be topping out just above 70 today.

Tonight: Scattered showers remain in Central Missouri throughout the overnight hours but the cloud cover keeps our low well above the overnight low of 44 we saw two nights ago. We will bottom out tonight at 58.

Extended: A low pressure system makes its way from north Texas towards Central Missouri on Tuesday and parks overhead by Wednesday morning. Tuesday night through Wednesday morning before 7, we could see some light thunderstorms along with this system. By Thursday the low pressure system shifts east, and a high pressure system builds into the area allowing for pleasant weather Thursday afternoon. Friday we will be sunny and hitting our mark with a high temperature of 80. This weekend's highs will be topping out just above 80 and the chance for storms starts to increase heading into Sunday night.
