Tracking the return of clouds this afternoon

staying quiet

MONDAY: We’ll wake up to some sunshine but more clouds are on the way this afternoon. We might be able to squeeze a sprinkle out of one or two of those clouds, but most of us will stay dry. Highs look to make it into the middle 80’s.

TONIGHT: A few more showers will be possible after midnight. Lows look to return to the middle 60’s overnight.

EXTENDED: Thunderstorms look likely by the afternoon tomorrow as a cold front approaches. The environment doesn’t look too conducive for anything severe but it’s something we’ll be tracking. Highs look to top out closer to 80 tomorrow. That front looks to stall out around the area, keeping a slim chance for rain around Wednesday. Our better bet looks to be on Thursday as another storm system rolls through the Midwest. Showers and storms look to get going in Nebraska and Iowa and move southeast by the afternoon and evening. Once we can kick those out of here overnight into Friday, the rain looks to take a break for the weekend! Highs will be a little cooler Friday in the upper 70’s and low 80’s but feeling better without the humidity.
