Tracking widespread rain and a few storms overnight

TONIGHT: Scattered thunderstorms through midnight, with widespread rain south of Highway 50 into the morning. Lows in the low 50s.

EXTENDED: The cold front moves south on Tuesday, but rain lingers with a few thunderstorms possible during the day, but severe weather is not expected. Temperatures drop significantly as highs only reach the upper 50s. Wednesday is pleasant with high pressure briefly in place and temperatures rise back into the mid-60s with more sunshine expected. Another disturbance moving in on Thursday will bring a chance for showers and a few thunderstorms to Mid-Missouri. We end the week dry on Friday with temperatures approaching 70, but more unsettled weather arrives for the weekend with showers and thunderstorms expected to bring another 1-2" of rainfall to the area.
