Tracking a rainy end to the week

TODAY: Spot rain showers will be with us as we wake up this morning. We're tracking the potential for some dry time around lunch, but showers and storms will move back in during the afternoon and evening. High temperatures will be in the mid-50s.

TONIGHT: After those thunderstorms roll through, widespread rain is expected to usher in the weekend. Lows will fall into the lower 50s.

EXTENDED: Waking up on Saturday, our western counties will be seeing the last of their rainfall, but it will take until lunchtime for the system to move out completely from the viewing area. On the backend of this system, temperatures will be on the rise as sunshine settles in. To close the weekend, we'll be in the upper 60s, and by Monday, we'll push into the 80s. Our next weather maker will push through sometime between Tuesday and Wednesday, but the timing is still up in the air.
