Tracking the return of rain overnight

TONIGHT: Clouds will continue to increase ahead of our next rain chance moving in this evening. Showers will be possible anytime after sunset, but look more widespread overnight. Lows will be held in the middle 40's.

FRIDAY: Those showers will become more isolated during the morning commute, but return by the afternoon. A southerly breeze will push temperatures into the upper 50's. The afternoon round of showers will contain a few thunderstorms, with the heaviest rain falling south of I-70.

EXTENDED: Rain lingers overnight Friday into Saturday morning, but will move out by the afternoon. We'll try to salvage the first day of the weekend, with temperatures in the low 60's. Sunday will make up for any lingering problems Saturday might have with highs closing in on 70 with plenty of sunshine! If you're a fan of the warm weather, you'll love Monday and Tuesday as highs jump into the upper 70's. Showers and storms look likely Tuesday night into Wednesday, but the timing is still a bit unclear. Given the time of year and how warm we'll be before those storm chances, we'll be tracking that system a little closer for the threat of stronger storms.
