Tracking a cool week ahead

TUESDAY: Showers will continue to move through our southern counties this morning. Those will start to dwindle by the late morning hours, making way for some more sunshine. It’ll be another day with a mix of sun and clouds but we’ll stay dry this afternoon with highs in the low 60’s.

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy skies will stick around as lows bottom out in the upper 30’s and low 40’s.

EXTENDED: The cool and quiet weather will hold Wednesday and Thursday. Highs will bounce around in the upper 50’s and low 60’s with clouds increasing late on Thursday. That comes ahead of our next system, bringing rain chances back Friday afternoon. Based on the dry setup preceding this system, not expecting heavy amounts of rain unless something changes between now and then. The one question that still remains is how long into the weekend will the showers linger. We think that most of this should pack up and move out by Saturday afternoon, but we’ve seen some suggestions that might be too soon. Stay up with the forecast if you have any outdoor plans this weekend. With or without rain, the below average theme will keep up through the weekend with highs in the upper 50’s and low 60’s.
