Tracking rain returning later today

sunny star

FRIDAY: Some patchy fog will be possible after all of the rain the last two days. We’ll burn it off pretty quickly this morning and get back to the sunshine, helping push highs back into the low to mid 70’s. Showers and a few thunderstorms will push in toward this evening, so don’t put the umbrella too far out of reach.

TONIGHT: Those will push in from the south around 6-7 PM south of I-70. They’ll fill in for the rest of us north of the interstate by midnight. Overnight lows will back off into the upper 40’s.

EXTENDED: The rain will stick around for most of the day on Saturday. That will keep temperatures held up in the 50’s to kick off the weekend. Those showers will start to move east Saturday night, leading to a gorgeous Sunday to make up for a soggy start. Temperatures will return into the 70’s to close out the weekend. We’re tracking another cold front sliding through Monday. There could be just enough moisture to squeeze out a few showers during the afternoon. The longer felt impact will be the cooler weather sticking around for the rest of the week. Highs will be below average for much of it, topping out in the upper 50’s. We’ll be tracking a quick-moving disturbance Tuesday night that might bring more rain chances, but an otherwise quiet looking week at this point.
