Tracking showers today, heavier rain on Sunday

TODAY: Showers will continue early in the morning but taper off by the afternoon. Cloudy skies continue with highs in the low 50s.

THIS EVENING: Rain is likely to begin picking up again overnight and bring steady showers for Sunday morning. Lows fall into the mid-40s.

EXTENDED: Widespread rain begins by Sunday afternoon and we could see more scattered thunderstorms. We stay wet through early Monday, but sunshine is on the way. Conditions finally clear by Monday afternoon, helping temperatures back into the 60s. Another system could be on the way by Wednesday to ruin the fun, though, with more rain through Thursday.
