Tracking rain, rain, and more rain

THURSDAY: Showers and storms that might have woken some of us up will start to slide further south. Coverage in the rain will pick back up this afternoon, south of I-70. Temperatures will hold steady throughout the day, in the 50’s on the cool side of the front. Winds will turn out of the north, but won’t be nearly as breezy as yesterday.

TONIGHT: Slight chance of rain will continue south of I-70. Lows will fall into the low 40’s.

EXTENDED: Another widespread round of rain will move back in Friday morning and will be with us into Saturday. Nothing strong expected with this round, but some moderate to heavy rain at times. That will start to dwindle by Saturday afternoon. Don’t put the umbrella away yet, another round is on the way Sunday. This round could bring a few rumbles of thunder, but it too doesn’t appear to have the ingredients for severe weather. A few light showers will be possible on Monday, but we’ll be trending in the drier direction to start next week. It’s going to stay cooler than it has been, but nothing abnormal for this time of year, with highs in the 50’s.
