Tracking a dreary start to the week

blusteryu

MONDAY: We’re staying chilly to start the week. Cloud cover looks like it could be tough to shake today, while that northwest wind sticks around. Temperatures look to hold pretty steady, in the low to mid 30’s.

TONIGHT: Those clouds will start to break up a bit more tonight as that wind backs off. Lows will fall into the middle 20’s.

EXTENDED: We’ll get a little more sunshine to help temperatures into the low 40’s tomorrow. We keep the warming trend going into Wednesday with highs knocking on the door of 50. That’s about where we’ll top out on Thursday, but rain chances are moving back in. Our better bet for areawide rain will be towards the morning. But a front swinging through in the afternoon will keep the threat of showers around throughout the day. On the other side of that front is a bit of uncertainty as to how we end the week. Highs looks to back up into the 30’s on Friday, but should stay quiet. There’s another disturbance we’ll be tracking towards Saturday that could bring some light snow. The overarching problem will be the cold air that moves in to close out Saturday and into the start of next week, with a chance to see lows plummet into the single digits.
