Tracking a calm, gloomy day

TUESDAY: Foggy conditions from this morning have exited the region, making way for clouds to move back in for this afternoon. Temperatures will get held up near 40.

TONIGHT: Skies clear up a bit, helping cool things off a few degrees more, into the low to mid 20’s.

EXTENDED: We’ll recover nicely on Wednesday with more sunshine and a breezy southwest wind. Highs will approach 50 Wednesday and Thursday, but the wind won’t be as much of a factor Thursday. A cold front slides through, cooling us off into the 30’s for Friday and Saturday. Our next storm system rolls in Sunday, but how it moves in is what we’re still tracking. We’ll have a shot at things starting out as a wintry mix before turning into rain. The other way this plays out is it starts and stays rain-either way seems largely centered around Sunday.
