Tracking a much-needed warmup this afternoon

warmer

SATURDAY: After another chilly start, temperatures pick up the pace this afternoon. We’ll top out in the upper 40’s to low 50’s with a healthy dose of sunshine and a southwesterly breeze.

TONIGHT: Clouds increase a bit overnight. That along with a southerly breeze will keep us warmer than nights past. Lows will fall into the low to mid 30’s.

EXTENDED: Winds pick up Sunday, which will help carry temperatures a few degrees further. We’ll manage to make it into the low to mid 50’s closing out the holiday weekend. A front looks to pass through Sunday night. It doesn’t look to pick up enough moisture to squeeze any rain out of, but it will bring the cold back. Highs Monday and Tuesday look to get knocked back into the 30’s to kick off the week. With a cold table set, another storm system will move through that cooler air. A chance of a wintry mix will move in Tuesday afternoon. That looks to transition to all rain by Wednesday before pulling east Wednesday night. Temperatures are going to riding a fine line, so impacts are possible where we realize more wintry precipitation. Stay tuned as some of those details continue to get ironed out. On the other side of that system, we’re stuck in the cold air again, with highs in the low to mid 30’s to close out the week.
