Tracking one last gorgeous day
TUESDAY: It’ll be another terrific day if you can stand a bit of a breeze. Winds out of the south gusting to 25 mph and full sunshine will help temperatures make a run at 60 this afternoon.
TONIGHT: Winds stick around tonight, keeping temperatures propped up overnight in the upper 40’s. Clouds will start to move in with our front, but will likely stay dry before sunrise.
EXTENDED: Anything that does come down tomorrow morning will be light in nature as that front moves through. We might be able to hold back the cold air from moving in during the morning, but it’ll be here by the afternoon. Temperatures will tumble into the upper 30’s by the time we’re heading home from work around 5 PM. They’ll bottom out in the lower 20’s but that wind won’t back off. That will lead to wind chill values in the single digits the morning of Christmas Eve, only warming into the teens by the afternoon. Moving into Christmas morning will be the coldest night of the week with lows in the teens and wind chills in the single digits again. We do a better job at recovering after opening up presents, getting into the 30’s, before warming into the 40’s this weekend. Another shot of rain looks to close out the weekend.
