Tracking a warm start to the holiday week

TONIGHT: We’ll keep the partly cloudy skies around with lows falling into the low 30’s.

TOMORROW: Tomorrow will be nice and warm with sunshine and temperatures warming into the lower 50s.

EXTENDED:  Temperatures will warm into the low to mid 50’s for Tuesday, but a breeze gusting to 25-30 mph at times will keep us grounded. A cold front approaches Wednesday, bringing the return of rain chances to mid-Missouri. This system may wrap up as some flurries, but no accumulation is expected at this point. While this system won’t deliver on our dreams of a white Christmas, it will bring the cold. Highs Thursday and Friday are going to top out in the upper 20’s to some low 30’s. Thursday appears to be the worse of the two, with a wind to contend with knocking wind chills into the single digits. Things look to moderate during the weekend, back into the low 40’s.
