Tracking few showers tonight, heavy rain Wednesday through Thursday

TONIGHT: Showers end early with clouds sticking around overnight. Lows in the low to mid-30s.

TOMORROW: Mostly cloudy with a little fog to start the morning. Showers return by mid-late afternoon. Highs in the low 50s.

EXTENDED: A cut off area of low pressure will continue to track east just south of Mid-Missouri into Thursday, continuing to draw moisture in from the remnants of Tropical Storm Zeta. Showers wrap up Thursday evening, leaving us with a cold but dry start to Friday. Rain amounts between Wednesday and Thursday will range from 1-3", with the highest amounts across southern Missouri. Friday will feature sunshine and temperatures in the low 50s for highs, with a slight warm up into Halloween weekend as we get to near 60 degrees. Sunday is a bit cooler but dry with highs in the low 50s. We start off next week with more sunshine and temperatures just a few degrees below average.
