Tracking more spotty showers today
WEDNESDAY: Spotty showers will dot the radar again today. Much like yesterday, they won’t be terribly organized or large, but can bring a quick downpour. The favored area for those will slide north of I-70 this afternoon before exiting the viewing area that direction tonight. With clouds sticking around, temperatures look to top out in the upper 50’s and low 60’s.
TONIGHT: Clouds look to stick around long enough and winds will start to swing out of the south. Both of these working together will keep temperatures propped up close to what our afternoon highs got to, and might gain a degree or two-around the low 60’s.
EXTENDED: Those winds out of the south will pick up Thursday and work in tandem with sunshine returning to get temperatures in the low 80’s. The warmup is short-lived with a cold front putting an end to that by Friday. That front will bring storms in early on Friday, but should slide southeast of the area by the evening. Temperatures will tumble from the 60’s in the early morning hours down into the upper 40’s by the afternoon. Saturday looks to be more of the same, with highs in the upper 40’s and low 50’s but staying dry. Another chance for rain slides in Sunday bringing some more beneficial rainfall to the area. That rain will linger into Monday and Tuesday, with temperatures staying in the 40’s.
