Tracking another foggy start, with rain a possibility today
THURSDAY: We’re getting off to another foggy start this morning. Areas along and south of I-70 are expected to see some of the worst of the fog. Things will clear up by 9-10 before a cold front slides through this afternoon. As it does so, there’s a chance we get a shower or storm up along it. Timing looks to be between 4-7 but they’ll be very short-lived moving through. Highs will reach the upper 80’s today.
TONIGHT: Any lingering showers will be southeast of the area tonight with lows taking a tumble into the middle 50’s.
EXTENDED: After a cool start, temperatures rebound to near 80 Friday afternoon. The big difference will be the lack of humidity, feeling nice and comfortable. Things warm up slightly on Saturday, into the middle 80’s with upper 80’s expected on Sunday. A disturbance will roll through early Monday, bringing shower and thunderstorm chances back to kick off the week. A potent area of low pressure moves in Tuesday, with rain becoming more widespread. How this system evolves is something we’ll be tracking, with a chance it funnels cool air in on the backside of it by the middle of next week. We’ve either got gorgeous October-like weather on the way, or a soggy week set to unfold.
