Tracking some pleasant weather by July standards
TUESDAY: A dry day looks to be in store for most of us. A stray shower or two is possible close to the I-44 corridor, down around the Lake of the Ozarks. Most of us will be on the drier side of this boundary, so highs in the mid to upper 80’s will feel a bit more comfortable.
TONIGHT: Mostly clear skies will stick around tonight with lows falling into the upper 60’s and low 70’s.
EXTENDED: The boundary responsible for this break from the humidity will return back north Wednesday. That means some rain chances will come with it, toward the afternoon. Highs will top out in the middle 80’s feeling closer to 90 with humid conditions returning. Rain chances stick around all the way through Friday and could be heavy at times, especially Thursday. There will be plenty of moisture in place as a surface low moves along our boundary, so a lot of us will be looking at 2-3” or rain by the weekend. Still can’t shake the rain chances into the weekend. A lot will depend on where this boundary ends up, but things don’t look as widespread Saturday or Sunday. Highs will still be in the 80’s through the weekend.
