Weather quieting down… and heating up

THIS AFTERNOON: Weather remains steamy into the evening. Temperatures will stay in the mid 80s with feels like temperatures in the low to mid 90s.

TONIGHT: Staying quiet overnight as temperatures back off to the low 70’s.

EXTENDED:  This boundary responsible for the rain the last few days is still around. This might trigger some isolated storms Thursday, but won’t be nearly as widespread. This might be the last meaningful shot at some rain for another decent stretch. An upper-level ridge will be getting comfortable again overhead, which will bring some warmer weather for the weekend. Friday will see temperatures starting to nudge into the low 90’s. Heat index values look to top out in the low 100’s Friday through Monday. Be sure to stay hydrated and take plenty of breaks if you have to be outdoors this weekend.
