Tracking more off and on storm chances
TUESDAY: Showers and thunderstorms are on the way back in this morning. These look to stick around off and on into the afternoon and evening. Mostly cloudy skies along with some rain-cooled air again will keep temperatures held up in the middle 80’s. Storms this afternoon could bring some gusty winds with the stronger cells.
TONIGHT: Storm coverage will likely thin out around midnight with lows falling into the low 70’s.
EXTENDED: Another disturbance will ripple along the stalled boundary, bring more shower and storm chances Wednesday and Thursday. The coverage on these rounds will be slightly less, giving us a better chance to get closer to 90 during the afternoons. There’s a chance we hang on to these rain chances into Friday, but an upper-level ridge will be strengthening overhead. This looks to usher in some dry conditions for the weekend, along with some slightly warmer weather. Highs on Saturday and Sunday look to get back into the low 90’s, with a heat index approaching 100.
