Tracking a quiet close to the week

comfortable start

FRIDAY: A quiet, somewhat more tolerable day will close out the week on a high note. Temperatures will still top out in the upper 80’s to low 90’s but the humidity won’t be quite as oppressive. Even the seemingly daily afternoon storm chances will take a break.

TONIGHT: An overnight round of storms will push in close to daybreak to get the weekend started on a loud note for some. If this line of storms can hold together, it could bring the threat of some gusty winds with it.

EXTENDED:  How well these early morning storms hold together will determine if we’ll just be hot and humid Saturday afternoon or if we have another round in us. If our initial round sputters out before making it to us, our afternoon round could become strong. Highs look top out near 90 with the return of that humidity.  That frontal boundary responsible for our muddy storm chances will move through later in the day. This will deliver some relief from the humidity for Sunday and Monday, with highs still in the upper 80’s but slightly more comfortable. The heat gets plugged back in Tuesday onward, with highs returning to the low to mid 90’s. This stretch looks to be the hottest we’ve seen so far this Summer.
