Tracking an active few days upcoming
TUESDAY: Showers and storms will greet some of us out the door this morning. Most of the activity should stay east of HWY 63 and north of I-70. The rest of us will be quiet with a mix of sun and clouds as temperatures make it into the upper 80’s this afternoon.
TONIGHT: Some more storms will try to move in, again east of HWY 63, where we might renew any flooding problems that develop this morning. A separate complex of storms will move through overnight into tomorrow morning.
EXTENDED: This morning round of storms may bring some gusty winds north of I-70 but the severe threat overall appear limited. Depending on how long that cloud cover takes to filter out, temperatures will start to warm into the afternoon. Highs Wednesday look to make it into the low 90’s with some uncomfortable humidity. Those humid conditions will push the feels like temperatures into the upper 90’s easily with a few 100’s possible. All of this looks to stick around Thursday, so take plenty of breaks if you’re going to be outside. Things look to settle down but we keep the heat with highs near 90 into this weekend.
