Tracking a cold rain this morning

rain

FRIDAY: A cold rain is greeting us this morning for most of the viewing area. Still can't rule out a snowflake or two mixing in as far south as Moberly, but that window is looking pretty small. The rain moves on by lunchtime, but with the clouds lingering and a cool breeze out of the north, highs will be stuck in the 40's. Some late-day sun looks to make up for the otherwise gloomy day.

TONIGHT: Those clouds continue to filter out of the area overnight leading to another chilly night. Lows will fall to near the freezing mark so any of those sensitive plants probably need to come in again or be covered.

EXTENDED: A gorgeous weekend will still looks set to unfold with sunshine and 60's featured both days. Some light showers look interrupt that nice weather Sunday morning, but will be short-lived. Those showers look to move in overnight and look to thin by the later morning hours on Sunday. We're back in the sunny swing of things Monday with highs in the middle 60's. We have a chance to get to 70 Tuesday and Wednesday, but we're tracking some more rain chances along with that warmer weather.
