Tracking a rainy Easter weekend

TODAY: Showers will begin mid-morning and stick with us until the early afternoon. We'll see a brief lull in the rain during the late afternoon and evening, but we are tracking more showers and storms set to move in overnight. Highs will be in the low 60s.

TONIGHT: Scattered showers and storms are likely. Lows in the mid 50s.

EXTENDED: For Easter day, we are tracking a strong cold front that will push through mid-Missouri during the afternoon. In the morning we could see some showers linger to start our day, but as temperatures warm into the upper 60s, conditions will dry out briefly. As the cold front pushes through, however, we could see the development of some strong storms, with severe storms not out of the question. After the front pushes through, we could see a few snow showers overnight into Monday, and then temperatures will drop well below average for the remainder of the workweek.
